Maryland Man to Run For Senate in Illinois

And not just any man: Alan Keyes, the conservative political commentator. Alan Keyes, the same commentator who chastised Hillary Clinton for running for (and winning) a Senate seat that was not in her home state. Keyes was asked his feelings on running for an out-of-state seat last week and responded, “As a matter of principle, I don’t think it’s a good idea.”

So you're willing to sacrifice your principles to win the seat? Well maybe voters will forgive that fact, and the fact you're from Maryland because I'm sure your views are in line with the majority of Illinois voters.

From MSNBC:
"Keyes opposes abortion and gay rights, [and] wants to replace the income tax with a national sales tax"

Can I place my bet on Obama now, or do I have to wait until Keyes establishes residency?

UPDATE:

SurveyUSA.com puts Obama 40 POINTS ahead of Keyes! OUCH!
