And the people all said sit down...

you're rocking the vote. In an earlier post I went off on a rant about how much the Rock The Vote crew bothered me. Turns out, I'm not alone. According to this article from Greater Milwaukee Today, Municipal clerks around Wisconsin say they have been getting hundreds of incomplete forms seeking to register voters before the election. It seems these kids, the ones that I claimed should vote more for "American Idol" than for president because they are more informed on the subject, cannot fill out a simple form. I sure hope Wisconsin doesn't turn out to be the Florida of this election.

Now, some municipalities are sending early registration forms back at their own cost. Others are telling kids to bring ID to the polls so they can complete the form. This is exactly my point. Wouldn't it be easier and more efficient to do it all at once? Wouldn't we be better off if the people that need to be convinced by the Rock The Vote Army and can't fill out a form didn't show up at all?

(hat tip to Bill)

  • the fact that there isn't online registration and voting is a travesty
