A Look Inside the Mind of a Mad Man

My friend Nick Rhoads from the UW Triathlon Team has a website called the Intensity Newsletter. Nick lives life to its most intense. Intensity is his credo, his motto and his very being. He rides hundreds of miles a day, often several days in a row. He's attempted an impromptu, hungover, complete ironman just for the hell of it. Or rather, just because it is an intense thing to do. He does chores with a sledgehammer and drinks intense coffee that pours out like mud by the gallon. He definitely has a unique perspective on life. A visit to his site will keep you interested. Sort of like how a car accident keeps you interested. Check it out.

  • Live fast, die young, leave a good-looking corpse.

  • Try going rick climbing with the man; when he's ready to come down, dare him to take a 100 ft. whipper. He'll do it without hesitation or pretense. THAT IS INTENSE.

  • The "mission statement" from the website: "Mission Statement: To fuck the everlasting shit out of every concrete view you have of reality...and with style!"

    Uh, right. Classy!
