Breaking News

Byron Leftwich is likely done for the year.

So says CBS.Sportsline's Pete Prisco:

Leftwich was having the knee examined for the second time Tuesday morning in Birmingham, Ala., but initial indications following a Monday MRI were his PCL is damaged. That injury is not as severe as a torn anterior-cruciate ligament, but it takes time to heal, which is why Leftwich could be gone for the season.

Ouch. Fortunately for the Jags, they have a good solid backup QB in David Garrard, unlike a certain Chicago football team.
