And Ann Althouse, Michael Totten, and Megan McArdle are guestblogging at Instapundit.

I'd just like to point out that I'm free to guestblog for anyone else who happens to be going on vacation, or just needs some time off, or is guestblogging for Glenn Reynolds.

  • If I'd only known before I went on my hiatus this summer. It would have made an interesting mix, a non-believing libertarian substituting for a conservative Christian.

Of course, I have slightly fewer readers than Reynolds ...

  • Indeed it would have.

Incidentally, non-believing is probably a bit strong for me (I probably fall into the "deist" range of things). I won't speak for Danny though.

  • Non-believer here. Deist? Are you serious? Why even go that far? Why not just say it's possible that there is a god and it's possible that there is not and it's even possible, but very very unlikly, that there is a god similar to the ones believed in by the major religions of the world. But we can't know and I'm comfortable not knowing.

  • If you read carefully, that's basically what I wrote. "Non-believer" implies some unprovable knowledge as well. My use of the non-commital "deist range" was intentional.

  • To me non-believer implies not believing. Whether it's not believing in god or not believing that there is not a god (atheism). Deism implies believing that there is a creator but not getting into the specifics, you know like the quasi-canabalistic stuff.

  • I think in the context of Dean's comment that the term "non-believer" was being used to attribute to me a specific belief, that of certain atheism.

  • I know what deist means, which is why I did not say that I'm a deist.

  • I stand corrected, I think ;)

Any way, we don't agree on religious things, but I still enjoy reading people who make me think.
