Until I heard this I never would have thought that Adidas was big enough to buy Reebok. I guess Adidas is a lot bigger in the sports I don't follow and in other countries. I had a similar reaction when I learned that AOL was buying Time Warner. And, of course, within a year the AOL division had lost a hundred bil or so and it turned out that they really couldn't afford to take over Time Warner after all.
