Reality TV
The trial of Saddam Hussein will be shown live on TV.
The trial will show the Arab and Muslim world "that this is going to be a fair, just trial with a defence counsel in there, with a proper prosecuting counsel as well there," Iraqi national security adviser Muwaffaq Rubaie told CNN. "And everybody will watch this trial live on television."

Does anyone honestly believe that Hussein is getting anything other than a show trial? It demeans the whole idea of a fair trial to have a trial like this where the outcome has obviously already been determined.

Just because he was a brutal tyrant and obviously committed crimes against his people doesn't mean that he won't get a fair trial. Its just obvious from the evidence that he is guilty.
