Muhammad Cartoon Controversy Reaches Absurd New Heights

No excerpt will do this justice. Head to The Volokh Conspiracy, and behold the madness within.

People who are easily offended suck.

  • I guess if the Christian Right can get people all excited and upset about various things we shouldn't be suprised that Inams seeking popularity gain can get such a prolonged reaction out of a less educated, very devout population in areas where life is apparently more violent.
For instance, they sacked and burned the office of the business that owned the cruise ship that sank in the Red Sea.

  • I take exception to the last part of the Volokh writeup:

Your decision to be offended by this particular cartoon gives you no rights (again, as a matter of civility as well as of law) to tell us to stop printing it.

Actually, it does give them the rights to tell them to stop printing it, but their rights stop there.

  • Nope. The right to tell them to stop was always there. Being offended does not create the right. But you're right, the right does stop there.
