Quick Reactions

Good Game: Hines Ward.

Bad Game: Jeramy Stevens.

Terrible Game: Officiating Crew.

And what happened to Darrell Jackson?

  • Paul,

I believe the correct spelling is "Jerrrrrramy Stevens". Although I could be wrong. In his native Belarus, the direct translation is "To Drop catchable passes, whilst being tagged by defenders." Syn: "Soft, lacking character"

  • The officiating was a disgrace. For some reason the mainstream media seem to be downplaying it, but on every blog I've visited the officiating has been the No. 1 topic of conversation. The fans were robbed of what would have been a great game if the officiating had been perfect.

  • I missed some of the "bad calls" because of the type of Super Bowl party I was at, but I will say that the two plays I saw that everyone is complaining about the refs on weren't bad calls.

Darrell Jackson did push off, even if not by much. If you've ever tried to cover someone who does this you realize how much difference it can make when done at the right time, even if slight. Also, D-backs get far pickier calls by the refs so I don't see why WR's should get special treatment.

Ben was technically in the end zone on his touchdown. Sure it was just the tip of the ball that nicked the white line, but that's all that is required, even if it doesn't seem right that it is a touchdown.

Finally, I would like to say that Hasselbeck played a good game. Moreso than Ben, who was bailed out by his WR's at times and made some bad throws.
